Saddam Executed For Crimes Against Humanity

Saddam Hanged for War Crimes in Iraq
Dec 30, 9:06 AM (ET)
By CHRISTOPHER TORCHIA and QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Saddam Hussein struggled briefly after American military guards handed him over to Iraqi executioners. But as his final moments approached, he grew calm.

He clutched a Quran as he was led to the gallows, and in one final moment of defiance, refused to have a hood pulled over his head before facing the same fate he was accused of inflicting on countless thousands during a quarter-century of ruthless power.

A man whose testimony helped lead to Saddam's conviction and execution before sunrise said he was shown the body because "everybody wanted to make sure that he was really executed."

"Now, he is in the garbage of history," said Jawad Abdul-Aziz, who lost his father, three brothers and 22 cousins in the reprisal killings that followed a botched 1982 assassination attempt against Saddam in the Shiite town of Dujail.

Iraqi television showed what it said was Saddam's body, his head uncovered and the neck twisted at a sharp angle.

The footage showed the man identified as Saddam lying on a stretcher, covered in a white shroud. His neck and part of the shroud have what appear to be bloodstains. His eyes are In Baghdad's Shiite enclave of Sadr City, hundreds of people danced in the streets while others fired guns in the air to celebrate. The government did not impose a round-the-clock curfew as it did last month when Saddam was convicted to thwart any surge in retaliatory violence.

It was a grim end for the 69-year-old leader who had vexed three U.S. presidents. Despite his ouster, Washington, its allies and the new Iraqi leaders remain mired in a fight to quell a stubborn insurgency by Saddam loyalists and a vicious sectarian conflict. (Read whole story here.)

Dedicated To Our Troops

This video is not in keeping with my Christmas theme; but it struck me as I listened to this song that when our troops come home now they will find that while they have been fighting for what they believe in, they come home and find that this country doesn't care anymore. Too many take our Freedoms for granted now. Too many have forgotten 9/11 and the threat that Terrorism is to us. Too many do not care to know about the real threat Islam is to us. Too many do not appreciate what our Troops have done to keep another 9/11 from happening to us. Too many do not appreciate what they do every day for us all over the world. I just want to say to the troops:

"Thank you for your service and the sacrifices you have made. I will never forget what you have done to keep me free. Merry Christmas to you all."

The Legend of the Candy Cane

Look at the Candy Cane
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the blood shed for me

White is for my Savior
Who's sinless and pure!
"J" is for Jesus My Lord, that's for sure!

Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus my shepherd
Was born for Me!

I know that this story is listed as an Urban Legend. I thought I would mention before some Scrooge brought it up. It is a neat story anyway and I thought I would post it.

THE STORY OF THE CANDY CANE MAKER

There once was a candy maker who wanted to make a candy that would be very special for Christmas. He decided to make a candy cane because he knew he could include a lot of signs and symbols to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

He began with a stick of pure white hard candy. He used white as a symbol that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary who was always so pure and holy. He made it hard and crunchy to symbolize the solid rock on which the church is founded.

He bent over the top of the candy cane to make a hook like a shepherd’s staff. He remembered that Jesus called himself “The Good Shepherd” The candy maker remembered too that the first people who come to worship Jesus at the manger after he was born were shepherds. Then the candy maker looked at his candy cane and thought it looked a little plain. “It needs some color,” he said. Something red,” he thought. “That will give it Christmas look!” So, he began to stain the white candy cane with red stripes. First, he put on three thin red stripes. You see, he remembered that Jesus went through terrible torture before he died and was whipped across his back. The candy maker decided that the red stripes on the candy cane would remind everybody that Jesus shed his blood for us when he died on the cross on Good Friday.

The candy maker was doing well with his candy cane. He had a lot signs of Jesus in there but he wasn’t satisfied. Then he began to pray, “Dear Jesus, help me to make my candy cane show the true meaning of Christmas.” Then suddenly the candy cane slipped from his hands. It fell upside down on the floor. When he looked, he noticed that the candy cane was no longer a candy cane, but it was the letter “J”. It stands for “Jesus.” Jesus is really what Christmas is all about.

For The Troops At Christmas

I found this Christmas Tribute to our Troops on You Tube. I wish I had the idea to do this. It is great. But watching this, I got to thinking about how our troops are away from their families and what a good idea it would be to send Christmas Care packages to our troops. So here is a web site that you can go to find out how. But if you are going to do that, you will probably have to do it in the next day or two so it will have time to get there.

America Supports You

Christmas trees are going back up at Sea-Tac airport

By Janet I. Tu and Lornet Turnbull
Seattle Times staff reporters

The holiday trees that went away in the middle of the night are back.

Tonight, Port of Seattle staff began putting up the trees they had taken down Friday night after a local rabbi requested that a Hanukkah menorah also be displayed. Port officials said the rabbi's lawyer had threatened to imminently file a lawsuit, leaving them with insufficient time to consider all the issues.

A nationwide furor erupted over the weekend as news of the trees' removal spread, with a flood of calls to Port officials and harshly worded e-mails to Jewish organizations. Today, Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky said he would not file a lawsuit and the Port, in response, said it would put the trees back up.

The War against Christianity continues in this country and across the world, specifically the War on Christmas. First we are told we cannot exhibit our Nativity Scenes. Next we have been told we cannot say “Merry Christmas” and now the attack on our Christmas Trees. Are we going to allow our First Amendment right to Freedom of Religion to continue to be taken away from us? The last time I looked the First Amendment says:

CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF

It has not been changed YET as far as I know. It says that congress cannot prohibit the “free exercise” of our religion, but why are Christians slowing losing their right to practice their religion in this Country?

Ousted imams want airline settlement

United Press International

WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Five of six Muslim imams who were taken off a US Airways flight in Minneapolis last month want an out-of-court settlement from the airline for the ordeal.

After the Nov. 28 incident, the airline offered to meet with the group of clerics Dec. 4, but the men declined and instead sought legal help from the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington.

"With the hopes of reaching an amicable resolution to this matter, we would like to take this opportunity to ask for a formal meeting with US Airways executives and legal counsel," Arsalan Iftikhar, CAIR's national legal director, wrote to the airline.

There are conflicting reports of what happened after security agents escorted the men off the plane based on other passengers' complaints of suspicious activity, the Washington Times said Monday.
CAIR claims the men were handcuffed for several hours, but one of the imams told the Times he was only handcuffed for "10 or 15 minutes" and that the imams were not led off the plane in handcuffs.

An airline spokeswoman said the meeting request was received, but a date has not been set.

This whole incident was obviously staged. This is just another example of how Muslims want to take over our country. They are trying to change our laws to give them special privileges. Are we going to sit back and allow Muslims to make Islam have more privileges in this Country and other Religions? This is so much against the Constitution and Freedom of Religion. But here we are seeing all reference to Judeo/Christian influence of the Founding Fathers completely removed from our History and yet Muslims are trying to gain Special Rights. We cannot allow this to happen. We also need to start taking a stand over all mention of the Founding Father’s belief in God being erased from our History. It is part of our History. How can we sit by and let this happen?

Dual Bombing in Central Baghdad Kills 57

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Two car bombs targeting day laborers looking for work exploded within seconds of each other Tuesday on a main square in central Baghdad, killing at least 57 people and wounding more than 150, police said.

Also Tuesday, a television cameraman working for The Associated Press was shot to death by insurgents while covering clashes in the northern city of Mosul, police said.

Aswan Ahmed Lutfallah, 35, was having his car repaired in an industrial area in the eastern part of the city when insurgents and police began fighting nearby and he rushed to cover the clash, police Brig. Abdul-Karim Ahmed Khalaf said.

Insurgents spotted him filming, approached him and shot him to death, Khalaf said, citing an initial report. Lutfallah had not reported any prior threats against him.

If we allow Muslims to get Islam to take hold of this Country, this is what we have to look forward to. For as much as Muslims like to claim that Islam is a Religion of Peace, we can see that anywhere Islam exists, there is always unrest and violence.

Teen saved from forced conversion to Islam
Persecuted Christian given new opportunity by U.S. ministry

© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com

The intervention by a Christian ministry that focuses on persecuted Christians worldwide has saved a teenage girl in Pakistan from what probably would have been a forced conversion to Islam and mandatory marriage to a Muslim master, according to reports on the recent situation.

The Voice of the Martyrs confirmed in a new report that the teen, Azra Bibi, soon will be established in her own home through the assistance of a Christian pastor in the region, and the donations of Christians in the United States.

Such situations, VOM confirms, happen all too frequently. As Christians in a Muslim nation, the family was subjected to the ongoing persecution of the community. In the case of Azra, she and her mother were working in a brick kiln, under almost slave-like conditions, in order to earn enough for the family to eat.

She'd been working at the kilns since she was seven, and frequently endured the jeers and criticisms of Muslims working at the same plant, officials said.

Then one day, the verbal attacks that began with the work day increased, and several Muslim women turned violent, beating Azra's mother, officials said.

They were both taken to the brick kiln owner, where Azra's mom was murdered in the most horrific way," the report said, leaving the teen not only reeling from the loss of her mother, but now facing the responsibilities for her debts.

"The brick kiln owner had plans to force Azra to convert to Islam with the intention of marrying her off. But God had other plans," the VOM report said. "With the help of a courageous local pastor and support from Christians in the U.S., Azra was miraculously rescued with her debts paid." (Read whole story here.)

But we all know that this sort of thing is nothing new. Muslims have always persecuted and committed genocide against Christians and people of other faiths. Here is a video with more stories like this:

The (Ignored) Extermination of Iraqi Christians

I decided to spare you any more of my creations for a few days at least.

Christians in Iraq have suffered persecution at the hands of Muslims for centuries, but since the War in Iraq it has become worse. Here is a video I found on You Tube about just that. Also be sure to read the WND Article below this post which cites just a few of the atrocities the Muslims have committed against these gentle people just this year. Which includes the crucifixion of a 14 year old boy.

Iraqi Christians plead for help from White House
Demonstrators at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. tell of 'ethnic cleansing'

Faced with growing repression by Muslims, Christians from an ancient tradition in Iraq are calling on American political leaders for help before their entire community is extinguished.

Christian Assyrians and some of their supporters demonstrated in front of the White House yesterday, highlighting an alarming trend reported by the U.N.: While representing just 5 percent of the Iraqi population, 40 percent of the refugees fleeing the country are Assyrians.

One of the speakers at the rally, Nina Shea of Freedom House's Center for Religious Freedom in D.C., told WND that because of the "ethnic cleansing," the Christians want an autonomous district in Iraq they can administrate.

The zone, called the Nineveh Plains Administrative Unit, would allow Assyrians and other Christians to practice their faith, speak and teach their language, and work their land without fear of persecution.

Unlike the Sunnis and Shiites, the Christians have no militia and are completely defenseless, Shea said.

"They need to administrate their own governmental unit to protect themselves," she said. "Otherwise, with the chaos and violence and persecution targeting Christians for religious reasons, which the U.N. has documented, they will disappear.

Shea insisted it's in the interest of the U.S. to take a stand.

With the loss of the highly educated and skilled Christians, she argued, Iraq is "experiencing a brain drain as well as sane drain – a force of moderation and a bridge to the West."

"They have served the U.S. in Iraq nobly, and they will leave a real vacuum," said Shea.
While the Christians in Iraq have been repressed for decades, Shea pointed out, they have suffered more since the war began, with kidnappings, crucifixions and dozen of churches bombed by jihadist terror.

Among the atrocities documented this year:

• Father Paulos Eskandar, of Mor Afrem Syriac Orthodox Church, was kidnapped Oct. 9 by Muslims and decapitated two days later. He was murdered despite Christians fulfilled a demand to post a text on the church doors condemning the pope's statement about Islam.

• On Oct. 4, a car bomb detonated in a Christian area and killed nine people, including Georges Zara, member of the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac National Council.

• A 14-year-old boy was crucified and stabbed in the stomach, mimicking what was done to Jesus, in Albasra.

• On Oct. 21, in Baquba, a group of veiled Muslims attacked a workplace where a 14-year-old boy named Ayad Tariq worked. The men asked the boy for his identity card. After seeing he was Christian the men asked whether he was a "dirty Christian sinner." Ayad answered: "Yes, I am Christian, but I am not a sinner." The rebels yelled he was a dirty Christian sinner and continued to grab him and to scream, "Allahu, Akbar! Allahu, Akbar!" The boy then was decapitated.

• In August, 13 Assyrian Christian women in Baghdad were kidnapped and murdered.

• In January, churches were bombed in Basra and Baghdad.

Shea noted that the Kurds, who control the north, have been denying the Christian Assyrians many of the benefits that have come from U.S. largesse.

The electric grids created by the U.S., for example, are left to the discretion of local governments to distribute and manage, and the Christians say they aren't getting their fair share. They cite instances of Kurdish villages receiving electricity while neighboring Christian villages are denied service.

Shea said she has been raising the plight of the Iraqi Christians with the U.S. government for several years, including in a face-to-face meeting with President Bush in her role as a member of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.

She has not received a positive response.

"One of the issues here is that the Christians don't create trouble, they are just victims," she said. "They don't blow up things, so they don't get attention.

Some have told her the U.S. government doesn't want to establish a precedent of favoritism, by responding to special pleadings.

But Shea argues, "It's not favoring one group to make sure they get their fair share of U.S. construction aid.

The White House did not respond to WND's request for comment

Another Video I Made

This is another video I made. It is dedicated to all the women who watch it. Here are the words to the song:

THE REAL ME
Foolish heart looks like we're here again
Same old game of plastic smile
Don't let anybody in
Hiding my heartache, will this glass house break
How much will they take before I'm empty
Do I let it show, does anybody know?

CHORUS

But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me
Painted on, life is behind a mask
Self-inflicted circus clown
I'm tired of the song and dance
Living a charade, always on parade
What a mess I’ve made of my existence
But you love me even now
And still I see somehow
But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me
Wonderful, beautiful is what you see
When you look at me
You're turning the tattered fabric of my life into
A perfect tapestry
I just wanna be me
But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me
And you love me just as I am
Wonderful, beautiful is what you see
When you look at me

A Video I Made

I have been posting videos from You Tube here for a while. I wanted to see if I could make a video. This is my attempt of doing that. I know I already posted this song this week and some of it seems the same. But, I just want to say that many times it takes great pain to close one door in your life and open a new better door. If any of you have ever hurt, you will understand what I am trying to say here. This video speaks on so many levels. Anyway I hope you like it. And since I know I can make videos now, look for more.

Racial Profiling or Suspicious Behavior?

How the imams terrorized an airliner
By Audrey Hudson
THE WASHINGTON TIMESNovember 28, 2006

Muslim religious leaders removed from a Minneapolis flight last week exhibited behavior associated with a security probe by terrorists and were not merely engaged in prayers, according to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials.

Witnesses said three of the imams were praying loudly in the concourse and repeatedly shouted "Allah" when passengers were called for boarding US Airways Flight 300 to Phoenix.

"I was suspicious by the way they were praying very loud," the gate agent told the Minneapolis Police Department.

Passengers and flight attendants told law-enforcement officials the imams switched from their assigned seats to a pattern associated with the September 11 terrorist attacks and also found in probes of U.S. security since the attacks -- two in the front row first-class, two in the middle of the plane on the exit aisle and two in the rear of the cabin.

"That would alarm me," said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. "They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane."

A pilot from another airline said: "That behavior has been identified as a terrorist probe in the airline industry."

But the imams who were escorted off the flight in handcuffs say they were merely praying before the 6:30 p.m. flight on Nov. 20, and yesterday led a protest by prayer with other religious leaders at the airline's ticket counter at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation, called removing the imams an act of Islamophobia and compared it to racism against blacks. First of all Islam is not a Race. But was this really a case of Racism or Suspicious behavior? The story continues

According to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials, the imams displayed other suspicious behavior.

Three of the men asked for seat-belt extenders, although two flight attendants told police the men were not ovover sizedOne flight attendant told police she "found this unsettling, as crew knew about the six [passengers] on board and where they were sitting." Rather than attach the extensions, the men placed the straps and buckles on the cabin floor, the flight attendant said.

The imams said they were not discussing politics and only spoke in English, but witnesses told law enforcement that the men spoke in Arabic and English, criticizing the war in Iraq and President Bush, and talking about al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

The imams who claimed two first-class seats said their tickets were upgraded. The gate agent told police that when the imams asked to be upgraded, they were told no such seats were available. Nevertheless, the two men were seated in first class when removed.

A flight attendant said one of the men made two trips to the rear of the plane to talk to the imam during boarding, and again when the flight was delayed because of their behavior. Aviation officials, including air marshals and pilots, said these actions alone would not warrant a second look, but the combination is suspicious.

"They should have been denied boarding and been investigated," Mr. MacLean said. "It looks like they are trying to create public sympathy or maybe setting someone up for a lawsuit."

The pilot with another airline who talked to The Washington Times on condition of anonymity, said he would have made the same call as the US Airways pilot.

"If any group of passengers is commingling in the terminal and didn't sit in their assigned seats or with each other, I would stop everything and investigate until they could provide me with a reason they did not sit in their assigned seats."

The pilot said the airlines are not "secretly prejudiced against any nationality, religion or culture," and that the only target of profiling is passenger behavior.

"There are certain behaviors that raise the bar, and not sitting in your assigned seat raises the bar substantially," the pilot said. "Especially since we know that this behavior has been evident in suspicious probes in the past."

No matter how the Imams are trying to spin this, the facts are by eye witness accounts that they exhibited suspicious behavior. I believe this was a ploy to get the Political Correct crowd and maybe even Congress and the Courts to relax security in our airports and on flights. We CANNOT let this happen, for once we do Terrorists will use that opening to attack us again.

Militants say Israel-Palestinian downtime to be used

TEL AVIV – The cease-fire to which Israel and major Palestinian factions agreed yesterday will be used by Palestinian groups to smuggle weapons into Gaza, reinforce and train "fighter units," and produce rockets for a future confrontation with the Jewish state, the leaders of the four most significant Palestinian terror groups in Gaza told WND in a series of exclusive interviews.

The cease-fire offers a period of calm for our fighters to recover and prepare for our final goal of evacuating Palestine," said Abu Abir, spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, a Hamas-allied terror organization in the Gaza Strip responsible for many of the recent rocket attacks against Israeli communities.

"We will keep fighting [Israel], but for the moment we will postpone certain parts of the military struggle," Abu Abir said

Gaza Truce Holding Despite Early Violations

Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - News that Israel and the Palestinian Authority had agreed to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and southern Israel on Sunday was met by an immediate terrorist missile barrage on the Jewish state.

Despite that early outburst of violence, for which the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization claimed credit, the truce appeared to be holding more than 24 hours after going into effect, thanks in no small part to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's insistence that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) maintain restraint in the face of the Palestinian violations.

Letting suicide bombers speak for themselves

By TOM TUGEND
The Jerusalem Post

Sixteen-year old Hassan is deeply frustrated because he was caught by Israeli police before he could blow himself up among a crowd of Israeli civilians.

"If I had been killed, my mother would call it a blessing," he says. "My family and 70 relatives would have gone to paradise, and that would be a great honor for me."

Hassan is one of more than a dozen Palestinian suicide bombers captured before they could carry out their missions and interviewed in the documentary Suicide Killers by French-Jewish filmmaker Pierre Rehov.

The movie's subtitle, "Paradise is Hell," is a deliberate allusion and counterpoint to last year's Oscarnominated Palestinian drama Paradise Now, which some critics charged "humanized" and even glorified its two suicide bombers.
(Read story here.)

More Quotes from the Palestinian Would Be Suicide Bombers:

"Our goal is to kill all enemies of Islam," says one young woman.

"Those who die for Allah are not dead but live in paradise," a young man proclaims.

"Jews have never obeyed God and are not part of mankind," adds another prisoner.

Beauty For Pain
by Superchick

This video is about Self Cutting. Self Cutting is the phenomenon when someone has so much emotional pain and they don’t know how to let it out, so they cut themselves to relieve the pain. But there are other destructive behaviors that people do when they cannot deal with the pain in their lives. Maybe it is overeating, or not eating at all, or drinking, or drug use. It is all done to numb the pain. I think this song could be for any of those things or even if you have been very hurt at some time. I hope the message speaks to you. And before someone thinks that is a video that I made, no it isn't. I just found it on You Tube.

"To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

If We Are The Body

A Lesson from Geese

Have you ever wondered why migrating geese fly in a V formation?
As with most animal behavior, God had a good reason for including that in their instincts.

As each bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird following.
In a V formation, the whole flock adds at least 71% more flying range than if each bird flew alone.

Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to fly alone…
…and quickly gets back into formation.

Like geese…
… people who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier than those who try to go it alone.

When a goose gets tired, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies at the point position. If people had as much sense as geese, they would realize that ultimately their success depends on working as a team, taking turns doing the hard tasks, and sharing leadership.

Geese in the rear of the formation honk to encourage those up front to up their speed. It is important that our “honking from behind” be encouraging. Otherwise it’s just - well - honking.

When a goose gets sick or wounded, two other geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and provide protection.
They stay with the unhealthy member of the flock until it is either able to fly again or dies.

Then they launch out again with another passing flock or try to catch up with their own.
May we be so sacrificial, that we may be worthy of such friends in our time of need.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A SCIENTIST...
…To learn from God’s marvelous creation; you only need to stop long enough to observe and let God reveal His wonders to you.

“Ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?”

The Real Thanksgiving Story

The Pilgrims who sailed to this country aboard the Mayflower were originally members of the English Separatist Church (a Puritan sect). They had earlier fled their home in England and sailed to Holland (The Netherlands) to escape religious persecution. There, they enjoyed more religious tolerance, but they eventually became disenchanted with the Dutch way of life, thinking it ungodly. Seeking a better life, the Separatists negotiated with a London stock company to finance a pilgrimage to America. Most of those making the trip aboard the Mayflower were non-Separatists, but were hired to protect the company's interests. Only about one-third of the original colonists were Separatists.

The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620. Their first winter was devastating. At the beginning of the following fall, they had lost 46 of the original 102 who sailed on the Mayflower. But the harvest of 1621 was a bountiful one. And the remaining colonists decided to celebrate with a feast -- including 91 Indians who had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. It is believed that the Pilgrims would not have made it through the year without the help of the natives. The feast was more of a traditional English harvest festival than a true "thanksgiving" observance. It lasted three days.

Governor William Bradford sent "four men fowling" after wild ducks and geese. It is not certain that wild turkey was part of their feast. However, it is certain that they had venison. The term "turkey" was used by the Pilgrims to mean any sort of wild fowl.

Another modern staple at almost every Thanksgiving table is pumpkin pie. But it is unlikely that the first feast included that treat. The supply of flour had been long diminished, so there was no bread or pastries of any kind. However, they did eat boiled pumpkin, and they produced a type of fried bread from their corn crop. There was also no milk, cider, potatoes, or butter. There was no domestic cattle for dairy products, and the newly-discovered potato was still considered by many Europeans to be poisonous. But the feast did include fish, berries, watercress, lobster, dried fruit, clams, venison, and plums.

This "thanksgiving" feast was not repeated the following year. But in 1623, a period of drought was answered by colonists with a proclamation of prayer and fasting. This prayer and fasting was changed to another thanksgiving celebration when rains came during the prayers. Later that year, Governor Bradford proclaimed November 29 as a time for pilgrims to gather and "listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings."

Throughout American history, there were many thanksgiving proclamations and celebrations. In 1789 George Washington proclaimed a National Thanksgiving Day on the last Thursday in November, in honor of the new United States Constitution.

The Thanksgiving Holiday is strictly an American Holiday that has its origins in Christianity. So, never let someone tell you that Thanksgiving is an International thing or that is is based on anything other and Christianity. Also you should call it by what it is "Thanksgiving."

The Re-Writing Of American History

I saw this story last week, but in light of Thanksgiving coming in a few days and thinking about how the meaning of Thanksgiving has been changed, I got to thinking about how the history of our Country has be being changed in recent years to leave out an reference to God or Jesus. Whether you are Christian or not, whether you even believe there is a God or not; it has no bearing on what history is. The United States of America was based on Judo-Christian beliefs. Trying to change that now, because you don’t have Jud0-Christian beliefs does not change the fact that it is part of our history. Here are some stories about this:

Ten Commandments stunner: Feds lying at Supreme Court

Government tells modern visitors it's Bill of Rights being honored

Every argument before the U.S. Supreme Court and every opinion the justices deliver comes in the presence of the Ten Commandments, God's law given to Moses on a fire-scorched mountain, and now represented for the United States in the very art work carved into the high court structure.

In today's world of revisionist history, the proof comes through the work of a California pastor who visited the Supreme Court building recently when he was in Washington and was surprised that what the tour guides were telling him wasn't the same thing as what he was seeing.

"Having done some research (before the trip), I absolutely was not expecting to hear those remarks," which, he told WND, simply "denied history."

He was most disturbed by what appears to be revisionism in the presentations given to visitors at the
Supreme Court. There, he said, his tour guide was describing the marble frieze directly above the justices' bench.

"Between the images of the people depicting the Majesty of the Law and Power of
Government, there is a tablet with ten Roman numerals, the first five down the left side and the last five down the right. This tablet represents the first ten amendments of the Bill of Rights," she said.

Unwilling to be confrontational, he went home and started some research.

One official Supreme Court document, he found, cited a letter from sculptor Adolph A. Weinman that said the "pylon" carved with Roman numerals I to X "symbolizes the first ten amendments to the Constitution." But the letter was anomalous; it didn't have a number of certifying marks that were typical of others.

So he continued looking and after calling in some assistance in his hunt for evidence, he found a 1975 official U.S. Supreme Court Handbook, prepared under the direction of Mark Cannon, administrative assistant to the chief justice. It said, "Directly above the Bench are two central figures, depicting Majesty of the Law and Power of Government. Between them is a tableau of the Ten Commandments…"

The more I got into it (his research), the more I saw Christianity had been abandoned from history," he told WND.

When he asked, his recent tour guide denied there were any Ten Commandments representations in the Supreme Court building…

Although there are six depictions of Moses and-or the Ten Commandments at the Supreme Court, the tour guides had been trained to admit to only the one on Moses, he said.

One doesn't have to be Christian, or endorse Christianity, to recognize its influence in history, he said.

But the Supreme Court is not the only place they are leaving out the Judo-Christian part of our history.

Tour guides at Jamestown, Monticellodon't include Jesus' name in explanations

When Pastor Todd DuBord visited historical sites in the Washington, D.C., area recently he was thrilled with being on the site of so many events important to the founding of the United States.

But as a history buff, he noticed quickly that one influence from the nation's early years was left out – not just once or twice – but repeatedly.

During his visit at Jamestown, he said, the tour guides several times said the first settlers arrived in America "to make money."

"While this is partially true, it was not only totally overstated by its emphasis and repetition, but there was absolutely no hint of the religious purpose given and stated under the Virginia Charter of 1606, which called for the 'propagating of Christian religion to such people as yet live in darkness and miserable ignorance of the true knowledge and worship of God.’”

He said there also was absolutely no mention of the fact the colonists' first act, after having landed at Cape Henry on April 27, 1607, "was to erect a large wooden cross and hold a prayer meeting, conducted by their minister, Reverend Robert Hunt."

"As colonist George Percy noted back then, 'The nine and twentieth day we set up a cross at Chesupioc Bay, and named the place Cape Henry,'" DuBord pointed out to the history experts.

"In fact, it seemed whenever there was an opportunity to address any of the religious characteristics or zeal of this first community, they were avoided," he said.

Later during the tour, when visitors were being led through the very heart of the replica of the community, the Anglican Church, the guide was asked about the significance of the various religious plaques, such as the Lord's Prayer and Ten Commandments, on the wall at the front of the church.

"Our guide's response was that she was unable to speak about it, a clear reference to all of us that she was trained to minimize the religious aspects of the settlement. We were all appalled, and shared so with her, especially understanding that this was an educational tour and that the religious education was being eliminated from the heart of a people who were devoutly Christian," DuBord said.

A similar situation developed at Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home.

"Again, while our guide was cordial and informative about many matters, when asked about the religious faith of Thomas Jefferson, he abruptly and actually quite arrogantly said, 'We all know Jefferson was a strict deist [a person who believes in a Creator who does not involve Himself in the daily affairs of men], who ardently fought for the separation of Church and State,'" DeBord wrote.

The facts are that Jefferson used his political position to establish churches and distribute Bibles, DeBord found. "For example, in an 1803 federal Indian treaty, Jefferson willingly agreed to provide $300 to 'assist the said Kaskaskia tribe in the erection of a church' and to provide 'annually for seven years $100 towards the support of a Catholic priest.'"

Jefferson also set aside government lands so that Moravian missionaries might be helped in "promoting Christianity." And Jefferson once was chairman of the American Bible Society.

Jefferson's "differences with American clergy" were not about eliminating Christianity from government, but to make sure a single denomination didn't become government, DuBord said.

"Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus….I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus," Jefferson said.

"While it is true that Jefferson was an advocate for the separation of the State from the Church, he was not attempting to neuter the government from any or all religious or even Christian influence," DuBord said history shows. "Religiously speaking, Jefferson was raised Anglican (Church of England), which is partially why he (as well as others) opposed the tyranny of king, priest, or whomever."

I noticed that there was a re-writing of our history several years ago. It is wrong to change history just because you don’t agree with something. It is this kind of Political Correctness that is going to be the downfall of this Country. It is also what is letting the Muslims take over here. I hope people wake up before it is too late. Pakistan votes to amend rape laws
BBC News

Pakistan's national assembly has voted to amend the country's strict Sharia laws on rape and adultery.

Until now rape cases were dealt with in Sharia courts. Victims had to have four male witnesses to the crime - if not they faced prosecution for adultery.

…A woman is raped every two hours and gang-raped every eight hours in Pakistan, according to the country's independent Human Rights Commission. Correspondents say these figures are probably an under-estimation as many rapes are not reported.

Pakistan's religious parties called the legislation "a harbinger of lewdness and indecency in the country", and against the strictures of the Koran and Sharia law.

Rape and adultery in Pakistan are dealt with under the Hudood Ordinance, a controversial set of Islamic laws introduced from 1979 by Gen Zia-ul-Haq. They include sections prescribing lashing and stoning as punishments for adultery.

Campaigners say Pakistan's laws have made it virtually impossible to prosecute rape. Attempts to pass a new bill failed in September in the face of angry opposition.

… (This new law) It would have allowed alleged rapists to be tried under civil as well as Islamic law.

The reform has been seen as a test of President Musharraf's stated commitment to a moderate form of Islam.

…"It is a historic bill because it will give rights to women and help end excesses against them," Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz told parliament after the vote. Religious parties boycotted the vote, saying the bill encouraged "free sex". (Read the story here.)

Rape is never a case of lewdness on the woman’s part. Muslims really need to learn the meaning of word. It is, however, a case of lewdness on the rapist’s part. And it is a manifestation of the Muslim male’s hatred of women and belief that females just exist for their own use just like their prophet Muhammad did. It also sounds to me like Muslim men just want to continue to have free license to rape women any time they want, just like their prophet Muhammad did. It is shameful that Muslim men are so sick and cannot control themselves. They use any excuse they can for rape. We are even hearing stories of how Muslim men are raping Christian women in the Sudan today. The Hypocrisy of Islam and Muslims, when they say the West is promiscuous. Yet they think they should have freedom to rape any time they want. And they have the example of Muhammad, the Hadiths and Sharia Law to back them up. As we can see, the rape of Muslim females seems to be the norm in Islamic countries. Here is just a few of the links to stories about how common it is for Muslim men to rape:

Muslim Rape Epidemic in Sweden and Norway - Authorities Look the Other Way

Symposium: To Rape an Unveiled Woman

On 'Muslim Rape, Feminist Silence'

Convert to Islam or we'll rape you

That is just 7 links out of hundreds of them. But let’s examine what the Islamic view is of these kinds of rape from the Quran, Hadiths and the writings of Islamic Scholars.

And forbidden to you are wedded wives of other people except those who have fallen in your hands (as prisoners of war) . . . (Maududi, vol. 1, p. 319). (See also Suras 4:3 and 33:50) In other words, ok for Muslim men to take women captive and rape them.

The Islamic legal manual ‘Umdat al-Salik, which carries the endorsement of Al-Azhar University, the most respected authority in Sunni Islam, stipulates: “When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman’s previous marriage is immediately annulled.” Why? So that they are free to become the concubines of their captors. The Qur’an permits Muslim men to have intercourse with their wives and their slave girls: “Forbidden to you are ... married women, except those whom you own as slaves” (Sura 4:23-24).

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said: The Apostle of Allah sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, send down the Qur'anic verse: "And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hand possess."[Surah 4:24] ...Sunan Abu Dawud, Book V, Chapter 711, Number 2150

“A slave is the property of his/her master. He/She is subject to the master's power, insomuch that if a master should kill his slave he is not liable to retaliation. With female slaves a master has the mulk-i-moot at, or right of enjoyment, and his children by them, when acknowledged, have the same rights and privileges as his children by his wives. A slave is incompetent to anything that implies the exercise of authority over others. Hence a slave cannot be a witness, a judge, or an executor or guardian to any but his master and his children. A slave cannot inherit from anyone, and a bequest to him is a bequest to his master.” p. 367_Digest of Islamic Law_ N. Bailli e, Premier Book House (Pakistan).

'Omar [one of the Khalifs] was once talking when his wife interjected, so he said to her: 'You are a toy, if you are needed we will call you.'"[21] And 'Amru Bin al-'Aas, also a Khalif, said: "Women are toys, so choose."[22]

This was not just 'Amru Bin al-'Aas and 'Omar's opinions. Mohammad himself said:
'The woman is a toy, whoever takes her let him care for her (or do not lose her)."[23]

The belief that a woman is a toy is of vital importance for the spiritual well being of a man. For according to the great philosopher Ghazali:

"In the company of women, looking at them, and playing with them, the soul is refreshed, the heart is rested, and the man is strengthened to the worship of God...this is why God said: 'That he might rest in her.' (Q. 7:189)"[24]

Women are viewed in Islam as just being a toy for a man’s pleasure and to be used by a man any time he pleases. Then there is the belief that a woman, who is just a toy after all, must stay in her house and covered or this warrants a rape by the Muslim man.

Quran-(33:59)---“ O Prophet ! Tell Thy wives and daughters. And the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (face) when abroad, that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And God is oft-Forgiving, most merciful.”

But Sheik Taj el-Dene Elhilaly probably stated the Muslim man’s view of rape the best in his Ramadan sermon:

Imam justifies rape of unveiled women

Australian cleric compares victims to 'uncovered meat' that attracts cats
© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com

Australia's top Muslim cleric rationalized a series of gang rapes by Arab men, blaming women who "sway suggestively," wear make-up and don't cover themselves in the tradition of Islam.
Sheik Taj el-Dene Elhilaly's comments in a Ramadan sermon in a Sydney mosque have stirred a furor in the country with even Prime Minister John Howard weighing in with condemnation.
The cleric also said the judge in the case, who sentenced the rapists, had "no mercy."
"But the problem, but the problem all began with who?" he said, referring to the women victims – whom he said were "weapons used by Satan."

"If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats or the uncovered meat?" the sheik said in his sermon. "The uncovered meat is the problem. If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab, no problem would have occurred."

Rape is the norm in Islam. It is used to humiliate non-Muslim women. It is used to punish any woman that they perceive as being “uncovered.” It is used to fulfill their lusts. But after all they are just following their Prophet who as the Quran States:

And surely thou hast sublime morals" (Quran 68.4) and “Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow" (Quran33.21).

I am adding links to help you in your debate with Muslims to expose Islam as the Evil Death Cult that it is. The first video is a funny video I found on You Tube and thought that I would share it with you. It is funny, but it does show the true face of Islam.

And I couldn't help myself, I had to post the second video. It is funny in a sick sort of way. But what is really sad is that it is a true depiction of the Islamic way of life.

I am getting used to the new Blogger so bear with me as I learn how to use it.

Muslims always like to claim that Christians convert to Islam. This is just another lie of Islam. We know that Muslims are leaving Islam for Christianity every day. But in typical Islamic fashion, Muslims try to cover this up to perpetuate their lie that Islam is truth. Here is just another story in how muslims try to cover up when Muslims leave Islam and convert to Christianity. The story of Bhaa-el-Din Ahmed Hussein el-Akkad who was active in his mosque and an Islamic scholar who wrote books, until he begin to research Christianity and converted.

EGYPT: CHRISTIAN CONVERT FROM ISLAM JAILED

October 18 (Compass Direct News) – A Muslim sheikh jailed in Egypt for 18 months has declared from his prison cell that he is under arrest for “insulting Islam” by becoming a Christian.

Egypt’s secret police transferred Bahaa el-Din Ahmed Hussein el-Akkad, 57, to the Wadi el-Natroun Prison last month. He was told he would remain there indefinitely unless he agreed to work as a government informer against other converts to Christianity.

According to the prisoner’s Cairo attorney, Athanasius William, his client remains incarcerated in this desert prison “only because he has chosen a different belief, to be a Christian.”

El-Akkad was imprisoned without charges for more than a year after officials of the State Security Investigation (SSI) arrested him in Cairo on April 6, 2005.

Although subjected to repeated interrogations, the former Muslim was never told the specific accusations against him. But several of his cellmates spread rumors that he was converting and baptizing people into Christianity, sparking verbal abuse and at least one severe beating from a fellow prisoner.

When the courts finally ordered El-Akkad’s release from provisional detention 10 weeks ago, SSI authorities deliberately ignored the ruling. Instead, they held him in their Gaber Ibn Hayyan office in Giza and then transferred him to the Wadi el-Natroun Prison, located 60 miles north of Cairo along the highway to Alexandria.

…In a series of handwritten notes smuggled out of prison in recent months and obtained by Compass, El-Akkad declared that he had “chosen the Christian faith” after years of research on Islam.

For more than 20 years, the former sheikh was a member of the fundamentalist Islamic group Tabligh and Da’wa, which actively proselytized non-Muslims but strictly opposed violence. He also led a mosque community in Al-Haram, in the Giza area adjacent to Cairo. In 1994 he had published, Islam: the Religion, a 500-page book reviewing the traditional beliefs of the Islamic faith.

But he became disillusioned, and five years ago the sheikh said he began to pray that he could somehow know God personally. It was not until January 2005 that he talked for the first time with someone who explained the tenets of the Christian faith to him. He began intensive study of Christian Scripture, and within weeks he became a follower of Jesus.
“This is a proof to all Muslims,” El-Akkad wrote, “that the person who studies the two religions from an objective and serious perspective will choose the Christian approach.”
But within two months, word of El-Akkad’s conversion to Christianity had reached the SSI, and secret police picked him up without warning from his private trade office.

…Although Egypt’s Christian citizens are free to embrace Islam and obtain legal Muslim identities, Muslim citizens are not allowed to change their religious identity. Those who become Christians are subjected to severe harassment by the SSI, which often arrests converts for either insulting Islam or “threatening national security.”
(Read the whole story of the Islamic persecution of this Christian man here.)

What a story. This man has been jailed and beaten for converting to Christianity yet he continues to spread the Gospel from his prison cell and to convert other Muslims to Christianity. Please pray for this man as he suffers for his faith.

Who's Your Daddy?

This is a story that a friend sent me in an email. I really liked it and thought I would pass it on here. No, it is not a personal story.

A Seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

One morning, they were eating breakfast in a little restaurant, hoping to enjoy a quiet, family meal. While they were waiting for their food, they noticed a distinguished looking, white haired man moving from table to table, visiting with the guests.

The professor leaned over and whispered to his wife, "I hope he doesn't come over here." But sure enough, the man did come over to their table.

"Where are you folks from?" he asked in a friendly voice." Oklahoma," they answered.

"Great to have you here in Tennessee," the stranger said.

"What do you do for a living?"

"I teach at a seminary," he replied.

"Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I've got a really good story for you."

And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat down at the table with the couple. The professor groaned and thought to himself, “Great, just what I need--another preacher story!” The man started, "See that mountain over there?" (Pointing out a restaurant window)

"Not far from the base of that mountain, there was a boy born to an unwed mother. He had a hard time growing up, because every place he went, he was always asked the same question. "Hey boy, who's your daddy?

"Whether he was at school, in the grocery store or drug store, people would ask the same question "Who's your daddy?"

He would hide at recess and lunchtime from other students. He would avoid going into stores because that question hurt him so much. When he was about 12 years old, a new preacher came to his church. He would always go in late and slip out early to avoid hearing the question, "Who's your daddy?

"But one day, the new preacher said the benediction so fast, he got caught and had to walk out with the crowd. Just about the time he got to the back door, the new preacher, not knowing anything about him put his hand on his shoulder and asked him,"Son, who's your daddy?"

The whole church got deathly quiet. He could feel every eye in the church looking at him. Now everyone would finally know the answer to the, question,"Who's your daddy?"

The new preacher, though, sensed the situation around him and using discernment that only the Holy Spirit could give, said the following to the scared little boy."Wait a minute!" he said. "I know who you are. I see the family resemblance now. You are a child of God.

"With that, He patted the boy on his shoulder and said. "Boy, you've got a great inheritance. Go and claim it. "

With that, the boy smiled for the first time in a long time and walked out the door a changed person. He was never the same again. Whenever anybody asked him, "Who's your Daddy?" he'd just tell them, I'm a child of God."

The distinguished gentleman got up from the table and said,"Isn't that a great story?"

The professor responded that it really was a great story! As the man turned to leave, he said, "You know, if that new preacher hadn't told me that I was one of God's children, I probably would never have amounted to anything!"

And he walked away. The seminary professor and his wife were stunned. He called the waitress over and asked her, “Do you know that man who just left that was sitting at our table?"

The waitress grinned and said, "Of course. Everybody here knows him. That's Ben Hooper. He's the former governor of Tennessee!"

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of God stands forever."
Isaiah 40:8

YOU ARE ONE OF GOD’S CHILDREN. I SEE THE RESEMBLANCE.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
