Oklahoma Ice Storm, December 2007

Oklahoma had and Ice Storm this week. 618,000 homes and businesses lost power due to broken power lines from trees breaking. That is approximately 2.5 person per household. And each of the people without heat. So I made a video about it.

Tiger I just watched your video.
excellent work!!!

I think my house was in your pictures LOL

No but seriously I have (had) a huge tree in my front yard at my house in Tulsa...I really loved that tree to, it was the biggest tree on my block and in the summer provided lots of shade.

The ice storm took it. Most of it came out by the freaking roots.
I have pics and when I get them developed maybe I will put them on my blog for you to see.

However I really think there was a miracle of sorts at my house because...

My tree was like 6 trees that had grown up and wrapped around each other to make one big tree and when it fell....
2 parts went into my neighbors yard on the left, 2 parts went into my neighbors yard on the right, 1 part went right down into the street, and 1 part remained standing...

the miracle was that both neighbors had cars, there were cars parked on the street, and a car in my drive way and not one car was touched when the tree fell and no houses either.
I seriously do not understand how it missed all those things. I can only attribute it to a little miracle!!!

And I thought God didn't like me lol

Sorry to hear you lost your tree. :( But glad it didn't do any damage to someone's property.
