BAGHDAD, Iraq — The bodies of two U.S. soldiers who were reported missing have been recovered, and an Iraqi official said Tuesday the men were "killed in a barbaric way."

At a press conference in Baghdad, U.S. military spokesman Maj. Gen. William Caldwell confirmed that the remains, found late Monday by U.S. troops, were believed to be those of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore.Caldwell said the cause of death was "undeterminable" and that DNA tests would be conducted to verify the identities.

The two disappeared after an attack Friday at a traffic checkpoint outside the city of Youssifiyah, just south of Baghdad. Spc. David J. Babineau, 25, of Springfield, Mass., was killed in the attack. The three men were assigned to the 502nd Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Ky.

Something that really bothers me here, we are supposed to just accept that 3 of our military have been killed, murdered by an Islamic Hate Group; yet our military can be put on trial for fighting back like in Haditha? Something is very messed up here. Are we supposed to just send our Military into a War Zone and tell them they cannot fight back. WAKE UP YOU IGNORANT POLITICAL CORRECT CROWD! This is war! Let our Military do its job and stop your caving to Islamic Hate Groups that want to make a big deal about when our Military kills people in self defense but would murder any of us if given the chance. You are playing right into the hands of the Terrorists when you cave to Islamic Hate Groups’ outcry about stuff like this. Maybe all you bleeding heart Liberals are on the Terrorist side. Maybe you wouldn’t mind living under Shira Law, but I won’t do it. GET A GRIP LIBERALS! It is your stupid pressure about our soldiers fighting back that is getting them killed. You Liberals act like you are so concerned about our Military deaths in Iraq, but it just isn't credible when you turn around and tie thier hands where they can't fight back or won't send them body armor.
